Pipe Scaninig

The Pipe Scanning technology is a well- established technique to locate and check depth of deposits or sediments buildup in the pipes. To calculate the depth of deposits approximate density of the process material inside the pipe must be given. No need to remove any insulation of lagging from the pipe. Any sizes of pipe can be scanned using this technique. The pipes at heights must be accessed through permanent platforms or scaffolding. The pipe scanning is performed by placing an adjustable (as per the pipe diameter) yoke shaped assembly around the cross section of the pipe under investigation at a number of locations along the pipe. This Yoke is constructed to keep the source and detector at fixed orientation and two readings horizontal (3-9 O’clock position) and vertical (6-12 O’clock position) are recorded as shown in the Figure.
